Download the song from chart registered stores from Monday 18 April until Midnight on Sat 23rd of April to make sure it's No.1 for the wedding.

Won't do anything but the sticking up of two fingers is the british way!!!!

Enjoy!

love a bit of the Pistols, although I couldn't give a fart about music charts and what happens to be number 1 on a meaningless wedding day.

God Save the Queen is a cool tune, but gimme Pretty Vacant or Bodies anytime!

And I'm fairly sure that if anyone had told the Sex Pistols what songs to buy on a particular day, they'd have been given pretty short shrift ...

"Why you want to push a song to No 1 on the day?" she snorted. "Just means you care about the wedding."

That really took me back to the angry teenage years, all the kids on a Friday night at RAF Lyneham. Some of them were really messed up from moving round the bases.

For me it has to be the lovely little sea shanty they sang, which always makes me smile when it plays on the Ipod going to work.
Now my kids are well into The Sex Pistols et al and introduced me to the modern equivalents which aren't a patch on the real thing.

I had a conversation with a pal who is an old punk on the way back from Stiff Little Fingers last week. For me I can't see the point of modern punk bands as I think the movement was a thing of its time. He sort of likes bands like that but I think he's more receptive because his kids are into it.

Thats also why I think a campaign sort of misses the point. Surely there must be a more contemporary protest to be made.

Anyway I wish the happy couple well. Although I won't be watching and fully intend to enjoy the day off in my own way.
