Camper Van Anyone?

It's something we've aspired to for years.
We once loaned my in laws old one and had a great weekend down in Cornwall, but it was like driving a small country. They bought a new one (in the region of £60,000) and very rarely use it( and they've not let us have a go...)

I'm with @Crackle on this one- too much money laying about unused to be buying one, though one fine day we may hire one for a few weeks just for the hell of it.

Cramped shower, poor cooking facilities and 'sofa's' that were instruments of torture.

Is that Tennessee you off to? If so I have just been told to recommend that you go to Asheville NC, just on the border of TN. A great beer place apparently!

I'm really excited about trying an RV out, we're stopping off at one site that declares itself to be proud supporters of the second amendment, I'm getting tooled up before we head on in there, the guy sounded real friendly on the phone though y'all.

When I retire from work in the next two years or so, I fully intend to buy a camper and go off around Europe following the cycling and driving around living in the camper. Mrs P might not agree. but i shall be off.

My holidays as a kid were in something like that, the Danbury Conversion, about '74.

£40k now.

We lived in this for a year - plenty of room for two adults and a dog. I still use it in the weeks when I work away from home, winter and summer. I love it.
