Got first pitch of the year booked for June and realised an electric hookup may be useful. The site says that "Electricity hook ups are 10-16 amp depending on chosen park and pitch type and have the standard round commando socket. Tent customers will require a mobile mains power unit that is compatible with our touring hook-ups."

Is this the sort of thing that they mean?

Yes, that's the only safe way to use an electrical hook up in a tent or trailer tent.

If you are going for hookup, use it as you pay a fair bit for it.

We do both. I now have an Anker Solix for off grid - generally run the fridge off it during the day whilst the battery is topped up with solar.

We're at Bala in a tent for 5 nights and have gone with hookup - so fan heater (if it gets cold), and electric kettle and hot plate for cooking. You generally keep consumption under about 2kw to be safe from tripping, which your bike chargers will be well under.

Those look interesting, I imagine you can take it pre-charged as well. If we just wanted to charge cycling batteries, no other kit, I reckon investing in something like that would be best.

Mine was about £600 including the solar panel, so a bit spendy. It would certainly charge the batteries. Worse case, you could ask the Campsite if you could charge your batteries in 'the office' for a small fee ?

Carbon fibre... LMAO!!!
My dear old dad and I made our own campsite charge cables. I had one socket whereas dad went uber posh with 2 on his.
If you know what you're doing it can save weight not having to drag around needless extra cable and sockets etc.
I imagine some campsites would be wary of charging an ebike battery in their offices thanks to them catching fire and so on.
