Can a threaded fork 1 1/8" be used for ahead?

I'm swapping my new bike's soft shock absorbers for rigid forks. The rigid forks I wish to purchase have a threaded outer at the top few inches on the outside diameter. I am wondering if I can just use the forks for my ahead fitting stem - and fit a star nut into these, and attach my ahead stem as you would normally do with a threadless steerer?

FWIW to be safe if I were you I would only use such a fork if its steerer is long enough so that the stem would not be clamping on to the threaded and weakened top section (which it is not designed to do, and also why quill stems for threaded forks have minimum insertion length and expanders should reach below the threads).

For a threaded system all the threaded section of the steerer does is to keep the fork from dropping down if and when the front of the bike is off the ground. On the other hand in the ahead system the clamped section of the steerer has to withstand the clamping force and to resist whatever leverage the handlebar is subjected to.
