Can anyone help telling me year of my Carlton Cobra

The red and black version of your bike was originally 5 speed so it has been upgraded at some time .
There may be a date stamped into the bottom of the steel frame of the saddle . You will have to look underneath the steel frame where it is riveted to the leather at the back .

Just done a bit of searching . Your model does look a bit like an early version . There was a change in where the colours were applied and also the style of font for the graphics . 70's models seemed to have a bold style of graphics whereas earlier models were more subdued. Also the type of lugs were changed from the long spear point ones which you have to a later style . Can't think of the type at the moment .
