Can anyone identify this bike please?

Hi - would anyone have any information about this bike please. Sloping frame, 26 in wheels, rod brakes, brakes reversed (i.e. right one is rear) French? Any info gratefully received.

I'd guess 1920s from the general design. An inch-size tyre would indicate UK or possibly US manufacturer.

Hi - thanks. Would a UK / US bike from that period have 'reversed' brake levers?

I think its a down hill bike ! Otherwise no idea.
