I've had tats done in Kingston, Soho and Camden as well as Selfridges.
There's also a very highly recommended guy just in the SW

Yep, I got a large tribal piece done by him about 15 years ago, still looks sharp.

Once the scabs have fallen off in my experience. Depends on size and location of tat, but about a week and no more than two should see it well healed and enable you to resume normal washing activities

Just had an Arabic phrase done freehand and the tat artist covered me in clingfilm straight away (Well the tattoo anyway) and told me heat is the key, and showering straight after was fine, as long as i patted the tattoo dry. It has been 3 days now and healing well

I've had no scabbing with either of mine. I used plenty of Bepanthen on them regularly, and had resumed to normal washing within about 24 hours. Obviously not soaking it, or going swimming though. But certainly no issues with the shower.
