assuming that the PC is close enough to the hub to get a wireless signal, it should do. It claims to have win xp drivers on the cd...

We have an old desktop upstairs with the router in the front room and it works great. I have one without an little aerial so that should be fine

Of course XP isn't supported by MS any more.
That should stop it getting f*cked by updates.

Well you can use it and it won't get gefurkled by yet another useless update, but it will be open, or should I say more open than later Windows machines, to virus and other attacks. As a technical numpty that might/should be a worry. Especially if you are buying online.

You have to make sure your wireless is switched on in your router and then you will have to set the wireless password on your adapter or it wont connect.

You could also just buy a wireless adapter card like THIS.

All depends if you have a PCI slot free in the PC. If unsure, just buy the one you have linked to
