Hi
Recently I trashed the rear derailleur hanger on my 2013 Cannondale Synapse Carbon Tiagra in a get-off (low speed - the derailleur went into the block changing down fast). I ordered a new hanger, and when it came it looks like it will fit, but it's not the same as the old one.
The old hanger (on left in attached photo) was a cage affair with two thin arms to connect it to the dropout (only one of which remains, the other was lost in the get-off), the new one only has one (thicker) arm to connect to the dropout. The old one had longer screws to go through the dropout, the new one has shorter ones.
Anyone see any issues in using the new hanger? I'm less concerned about damaging the hanger in an accident (that's why it's there), more concerned about not damaging the frame.
Thanks,
Jim
