Hi, well I have a slight thought, but not sure if its wise or not.... here goes
My last bike was stolen not long ago, and my insurance company, through wheelies got me the Cannondale synapse sora 7 2015, I love the bike... But... im wanting to make the bike truly mine, My thoughts are chancing the groupset to ultegra 11 speed and also the ultegra weels
The next cannondale up is one I tried and didn't like that much, or had disc breaks which I don't see the big need for.. I have had an operation on my lower spine so needed a relaxed style of road bike

Is it worth doing it the way im thinking, as the frame has nothing up with it?

:welcome:
Synapse has a pretty relaxed riding position so should be good for your back
I have a Felt with sora gears, made it mine by changing saddle and pedals.
Changed bar tape and wheels when required.
I thought about changing group set but sora works ok so not bothering with extra expense just now, may upgrade as it wears out though.
I have plates in my lower back so comfort is most important to me.

Is there anything wrong with the original spec gears ? if not why not as @Mrs M say and just upgrade as and when they wear out ! To my mind it seems an awful lot of expense to upgrade what imo is already a very nice machine.
