Canoe. One of those you sit down in with the waterproof bit around your midriff(i think)Not one where you sit on top,or one where you kneel down in.
There's a reservoir a couple of miles from me where they have a sailing club. http://www.sail-elsc.org.uk/Site/Home.html I think they'd allow canoes but i reckon the fees would be quite high.

I kayak but I don't surf.
No buts, just showing that a canoe and kayak can appear very similar.Yes but....
I was walking along the banks of the Leeds Liverpool canal yesterday when i saw a canoe on the water. The bloke wasn't going too fast just tootling along seeming to enjoy himself.
But...but...and if.No buts, just showing that a canoe and kayak can appear very similar.
so if you use a different oar, then a kayak becomes a canoe?
You'll be saying divers don't use flippers next
I've noticed them on the canal too Accy and thought it'd be a nice hobby, I only live 2 mins from it too. Tbh I don't know how they get in and out of them from the towpath and would feel silly asking. Mebbe they just go back and forth between locks?![]()
The minefield expands. Skiffs and rowing boats use oars, kayaks and canoes use paddles. Now watch @nappadang come and spoil my perfect definition again.
