Cool - a steel rotor body sounds worth it in the long run - my bike is a tourer, so strength is more important than weight!

Also the extra weight will be at the centre of the wheel, not on the rims/tyres, where I *do* care about weight, as you notice it much more there

Fantastic customer service from Hope - I posted the damaged hub to them on Monday, got it back today (Wednesday), and they've both replaced the cracked hub body, as well as the worn free hub/rotor body for free - the later with the more expensive steel version (normally a £60 part!).

It's not a completely new hub, as I can see that the end spacers are the same, but am well impressed! :-)

BTW the new cassette will be a Shimano XT 11-34 (upgrading from the previous LX cassette)

Actually went for a Shimano XT 11-32 cassette in the end, as I don't really need the 34 ring with the 22/32/44 chainset I have and think the slightly closer spacer will be better for commuting and non-loaded long rides
