Thanks. Yes, none of the overtakes are particularly good, but the building services vehicle is the worst and most stupid, given the location.

I can't overally see the issue from the video either. From the look of it, if anything came from around the corner the overtake could have been safely aborted, or they could have gotten past you before the 320 bus had arrived there.

I know that things are different in real life to the video though, I just can't see it from the video.

I thought that was the sin. But then I wondered if you were going slowly, because you can cross the solid white to overtake parked cars, pass cyclists and horses etc.

If you were going quickly then the greatest sin was committed by the driving instruction car whether it was driven by the instructor or learner under instruction. As nobody mentioned this I thought maybe there was another transgression I'd missed.

Not at all, I wasn't being sarky btw, just serious. Yes, I agree that the driving instructor did poorly too, but IMO not nearly as dangerous and illegal as the Carrara BS van.

Now for your next assignment - under what conditions is it permissible to pass another vehicle by crossing double white lines? This situation is not one of them, btw.
