Hello Cycling folk, I have had lots of nice advice from here about moving on to my 1st proper road bike after visiting each chain and LBS at least twice I have decided on the Specialized Dolce, Only problem is is that Harry Halls (preferred retailer v nice and helpful) dont want to order me one to try, because if it dont fit me and I dont buy it then they will struggle to shift it becuase ladies specific road bikes are not popular, they offered to order in a boys frame of roughly the same size (49) to see if that fits but i said i will see if evans/edinburgh cycles hadthe frame so I could try it, but also I'm worried that the boys frame wont tell me if it fits properley becuase of the arm length thing. i went to evans (who are least interested it seems out of all the shops) they said they will let me order for a deposit, but if i do that I will have to go with Evans because it is just too cheeky to then take my money to Harry Halls,

ill check in EC tomorrow but wonder if its worth the risk of just getting the specialized Dolce from HH and hope for the best- it IS my size frame aterall. anyone have any suggestions or know of someone who keeps tiny ladies specific road bikes in stock. (I Dont drive so it will have to be in Manc)

ta very much

Bike Doctor (Rusholme) might have them - my friend got her WSD bike from there. You could also try phoning Rick Greens - they're not in Manchester, but you can get to them easily by train (Piccadilly -> Handforth, go right out of the station, follow the road, cross the main road at the lights then go a little way left and they're there).
