Looks good but think I like the grey blue one!

Thanks for posting.

The only thing holding me back from ordering is I'm curious about discs....

Rose very similar brand to canyon have one coming out imminently & you can bet soon as I order canyon will announce one aswell!

Heard good things about the Rose bikes. Not a lot to choose between them.

Take a look at ROSE bikes, they tend to be slightly lighter £ for £, exceptional service and quality, I won't hesitate in replacing my current ROSE with another when the time comes.

Me neither, but at the time I bought mine - Xeon CRS3000 - Rose offered far more choice than Canyon in changing the basic spec., not that I changed much, (and I really liked the unvarnished raw carbon finish then offered ....cue negative comments, Vickster? ). You could specify an 11/32 cassette for example, change the saddle, other finishing kit. However, I was well impressed by the Canyon I had a look over recently. If you have a spare hour or two to spend have a good look at their websites and be prepared to drool ......

2014 Rose Xeon CRS3000 (51cm), 11-32 cassette. I don't think the raw carbon finish is available on this bike now.

its hard to tell from pictures, but a question for canyon owners: was is the diameter of the handlebar clamp end of the stem, is it 31.8 or the narrower 26?

Their Ritchey stems are 31.8* . Some of their stems have 11/4" steerers instead of the more usual 11/8" however.
edit - *as are their new own brand.

thanks.

i hoped they were 31.8 diameters bars.

I thought some looked 26 as there does n't seem to be a taper. Perhaps they are 31.8 throughout the bars.

Agreed,

I really like Canyons, but why can't they do the red/white colour scheme that the bearded one rides on the Tour ?

Even better in White/Red - would look very bling with my 3t cockpit.

Nice bikes though, maybe, one day.

Edit.

Luca Paolini of Team Katusha is the bearded one I was thinking of.

What's a pie plate @youngoldbloke ?

it's not that holey thing where the stem cap should be is it ?

Not being funny at all, I just never heard this terminology before.

appreciated.
Also known as a dork disc, or a frisbee, It is the spoke protector disc on the rear wheel, designed to stop your chain being pushed into the spokes by a badly adjusted rear derailleur, which a bike like yours should never have.
