Captain's Log, Stardate 2013_04_15.

I received an unusual artefact in the Ship's external mail today. Oddly enough, it looks like a Starfleet jersey, and yet according to my Science Officer "It's not a jersey as we know it, Captain". It is reminiscent of an item of tribal dress worn by an Ancient Earth tribe that believed in the use of environmentally-friendly propulsion systems, and certainly in that respect they were way ahead of their time.

I feel oddly drawn to it, and believe it would be fitting to wear it during our upcoming test of the new experimental leg-powered warp drive.

There use to be a computer game and one of the characters was called "Ensign Expendable"
