That is your other option, phone them up, tell them you are coming to their office at a set date and time.
.

It's a minefield, the company making the cheque offer is 4 removed for the insurers that I originally made contact with.

Phone them? It's a premium rate number that I stay on for 5-10 mins before getting through to the wrong dept, or, cut off.
They send texts to me to avoid talking direct, the text cannot be replied to, there is a premium number to call...............
They send emails too, these also cannot be replied to but they helpfully include a premium rate number for me to call...........

I am totally jazzed off with it all. :cursing:

If you insure through a broker they are actually your representatives in any claim against the insurer. As brokers they should not safeguard the insurers interests over your own, your interests take precedence.

Yes I know.if he has gone through a broker, then he should be dealing with them, not the insurers itself. That is why the insurance company pay the brokers around 12 to 14 per cent. If he has a broker, then he should phone them and tell them he will accept the settlement only if the insurance company give him another £300 which is what he wants.

I think we're getting snippets of info at a time only from the OP, so it makes things a bit more difficult.
