They look great but way too expensive for me at the moment!

We had a cheap 'hang on' carrier - it scratched the paintwork a bit and broke whilst in use . We've since had a towball fitted and use one of the 'platform' type carriers. It cost a lot more than the original one (but nowhere near as much as the detachable towball jobbie) but is very stable and it's better for my back not having to lift the bikes as high.

£320 is more than you need to pay. I'd recommend [url=http://www.barland.co.uk/cyclethule9502.html]this carrier at £92 for two bikes (I have the three bike version)[/url]. I'd also recommend that supplier, who were close to where I worked. Fantastic, very helpful and swapped out a roof box without question when I had a problem. I've got the three bike carrier, it's easy to load, solid as anything in use and very easy to store hanging on a wall. The only downside is that it's pretty heavy.
