Car clamped due to no MOT

I've seen cars being clamped due to no MOT or no VED but these have been parked on the road.

Yesterday I saw a car which was clamped but parked in a private house driveway. Are those guys legally allowed to clamp Cara which are on private property?

Yes. Vehicles can be clamped on private land if they are untaxed and have no SORN.

They can be clamped on private property if not SORN'd, which is a matter involving duty.

The OP was asking about clamping due to no MOT. A different subject.

A). Lack of valid test certificate.

B). Private property.

I've answered the actual question the OP asked, nothing more. The OP asked no questions about clamping for SORN, or clamping on a road.

Not so. There is no offence relating to keeping an uninsured vehicle on private property, assuming you are the property owner, obviously..

We've already covered the SORN bit - keep up. The offence you are referring to relates to it not being SORN, rather than being uninsured.
