Aren't caravans really crap structurally. If the owners realised thay are just ply wood and plastic, they may just take more care.

What I can't work out is how ip given the traffic island?

We had the stupid overtake this morning approaching a blind bend and silly acceleration into the distance on the wrong side of the road approaching the next bend, and it's a winding road which is used by lots of cyclists so I was worried if he met anyone one else.

Probably wrong-sided the island (sadly common in Somerset where I think that was) - or floored it as soon as they rounded it but I think you'd need a car with more poke to do that while towing.

Yeah, it must be hell listening to all the abuse from people you nearly sideswiped off the road because you failed to compensate for the length of the caravan!
