It depends whether you've got the clinchers, which have aluminium rims, or the tubs, having carbon rims. If you have the carbon rims you need brake pads for carbon rims.

Heck - even got WCMnrs 404s & disc at an exceedingly good price, but still very careful about useage! Simply as I couldn't afford to replace them if he broke them!
