^it sure is, like THIS ONE for example.

Assuming he's a L in Giant, I'm 6'2 and I'm an XL so he'd need to check the math/ inquire with Giant if it'll fit.

Based on my sitting on a Defy a few years back, I'd say an ML would be on the large size for someone 5'9

They have the EVO in a 54cm, but if the guy wants a racy bike, he may be looking at sizing down presumably. I think the C dales come up largeish. @Sittingduck is that sort of height and has an Evo

I am a shade over 6'3" and ride a Large Defy, not XL. I fit most other bikes around the 58-59cm range, a L in a Giant TCR too. Not sure if this helps.

This will help the OP to be left in no doubt that her OH needs to go check the bikes out in person- a bike fit last week ruled that my L Defy is too small for me at 6'2" and I've had to buy an extra long seat post (450mm) in order to carry on the fit (the shop didn't sell that size so I could tell he wasn't on the sell, it was the 'minimum' line being above the collar that gave it away) I guess a lot of my height comes from my legs.
