Carlton Gitane partners

Thought l would share with everyone a few photos of the Carlton now that l have cleaned it up a bit and of course the latest edition to the "stable" which is just out of its packing, the saucy little French offering, Gitane.
I have been for a short ride on both are great fun each in their own way. The Carlton feels solid and reliable, (British attributes naturally). The Gitane, in comparison feels very twitchy and bloody fast and perhaps not quite as reliable in a tight corner ( French attribute)?
However l am chuffed to bits with both bikes and looking forward to giving a good home to another needy "find" !!

They're both lovely (to paraphrase Father Ted), a nice comparison between British understatement and Gallic flair. Love that chainset on the Gitane, Stronglight?
