any help identifying this Carlton i've recently purchased would be appreciated
ser no G2164 is stamped on BB along with TT
had a refit by Bob Jackson, hencethe later 600 groupset and Campag levers and GS calipers

I'd say it was quite a late one but has been repainted (obvs) there's no way that's a Carlton paint job.

Isn't G about 1970? The full rear triangle in chrome is a bit of a mystery, maybe a full chrome bike with later paint over some corrosion? Sort of looks like a Raleigh / Carlton super course ish... but I think that was an export. Maybe some Vcc catalogue browsing might show something.

A lot of bikes had centre pull brakes back in the day. Even top end racing bikes.
