Could not refuse this 1981 ish Pro am when it was offered locally .

It's a 23" so just a nice size , not sure of it's future as so many other bike's coming and going at the moment .

Is the Pro-am effectively the same frame as the Raleigh Competition from the same era? (mid 70's, 531 frame and forks, same colour scheme, Worksop build).

I thought the Pro am was early eighties and the Raleigh equivalent would have been something like the Rapide. The Raleigh Competition was a much more expensive bike with a 531 frameset I believe.

Pro am and the corsair launched in 1978, using the same frames I think but with different kit, will have to look back at the brochures

Cheers Southcast - my competition could be early eighties (just looked up - similar one here: http://glorydays.cc/shop/bikes/raleigh/competition12/ ), looks very similar to the pro-am
