Carpal tunnel syndrome

Hi peeps

I am due to have a carpal tunnel release operation shortly and wondered if anyone else has had it and how they got on returning to cycling afterwards?

I will obviously follow the consultant's advice but the thought of not being able to cycle for four to five weeks afterwards is a bit of a downer.

I'd give the same advice to you as I gave bottlemshr with his broken hand.
Do as they tell you!! Rest those wrists and follow any physio they offer and if they don't offer any, get your own!

Good luck BTW, I have a friend who had the op and recovered perfectly, unfortunately she is a cage driver so I can't speak for how soon you'll be returning to cycling.
