Afternoons!!
After having waxed lyrical about the Carre de Vallees last year, I'm aiming to do it again this year.
It's organised by the Amis Cyclos De L'Ardresis, and is a delightfully friendly ride, in glorious rolling countryside, and a very short ride away from Calais - a perfect weekend!!
4 waymarked routes, varying from 25 km to 147km, with feedstops, food at the beginning and end, and last year it cost 3 Euro to enter on the line. There's a good few Chambre D'Hotes in Ardres, a small hotel, and a few campsites.
My plan is to head over on Friday afternoon, do a leisurely ride on Saturday, and probably the 97k ride on Sunday, then back to Calais for an evening ferry. Anyone up for it?
