Hi all, i had my old Carrera banshee hardtail stolen from church road Nuneaton warks. Had no branding as i spent many hours stripping and polishing the alloy frame. All xt gearing, breaks,shifters and so on with blue straight bars. Stunning and a one off bike. IM absolutely devastated. Had asbo hand sprayed on the down tube..with pedal cages and straps. Any info would be great. I believe it could be in the blackatree area.. Thanks guys. Has anyone ever retrieved there bike from post like these.?

I recovered my bike from Ebay 2 1/2 years after it was stolen. but you need to use your account to record your searches, and be specific about the name or specification of the bike. Mine was a rare model, turned up in my town, and that made it easier to find. You need photo's, and frame numbers or specific markings you can identify the bike by. You can also get google email notifications on key words searches.

ive had real bad luck this year, i have been evicted by my local council because my mother passed away and they wouldn't pass on the tenancy to me, my misses, and 2 children. So they put us all in a single room b&b miles away from where we lived. We have no washing machine cooker we share a bathroom with another 2people hear. We have to run two cars to get kids to school and misses to work. And have to eat out everyday. Council have treated us like s-!* . We had to leave in a hurry and in sure the notes i had with the frame number were thrown away by mistake. But that's great news that you found your bike . I suppose its right to never give up hope it could crop up anywhere. I would know it if i seen it about also there were places that i couldn't get to when stripping paint only i would know where to look.

It may not help you now with the bike, but in future take photo's of your stuff if you have an android phone, and link the phone to either facebook, or a Gmail account. It will automatically archive them to the net.
The pic I took of my bike was archived to FB, and I used that to help the police get a positive ID on the bike.
My bike was only back in my posession for 24 hours so it ended up as a total loss as I'd not had time to get it on cover. I made do with very cheap bikes, and a loaner, but it wasn't the same.
