Yes, I had already found that, thanks. Taking it back to Halfords is a bit inconvenient. The other advice in that post didn’t seem to match up with what was visible when I opened folding clamp.
I “bit the bullet” and ploughed on. There was a bolt with Allen key recess. Once I loosen that bolt, lower clap section could be removed, this revealed a smooth cover, which could be unscrewed. This in turn revealed a further “nut” which could be tightened to take up the small amount of play. So far, so good.
How has this been for you since?
I had the same problem - but I now have to tighten the nut underneath the smooth cover/collar after ~15miles as it keeps coming loose by 1/5th of a turn.
I cant tell if there is meant to be any additional retaining nuts, or if I should try tighten further, or use some loctite on it.
Has yours stayed tight or do you see the same thing?
