It's a fair cop, just give me the lethal injection in the morning yeah?

I thought you'd NEVER ask!

Assuming the house brick sized blocks one sees on the telly are a kilo each, 63kg of the stuff would be a pallet load, we are talking about multiple suitcases full of the stuff.

3 suitcases (presuming the limit is about 20 kg per person), which, with 2 kids probably wouldn't be too out of the ordinary once you have factored everything in.
Besides, did you ever watch Airport on the telly? Some people had truly INSANE amounts of luggage and had packed just about everything including the kitchen sink! Excess baggage charges were seen as being a part of life.

You should see the amount of luggage Nigerians bring home to Lagos. Near our factory is the Antler luggage factory and my visitors just love to go there and buy a few cheap cases. Then they fill them with stuff from Primark and Boundary Mill Stores and take it back; the Customs officers at Lagos pounce on them, there's a huge wahalla with lots of shouting, a price is agreed, cash changes hands and the stuff ends up in small shops being sold at a massive profit.

.The more likely scenario is that she knew had a sh!tload of drugs stuffed in her case and thought ....
'Being pregnant and with a couple of young kids in tow, no-one will stop me'
.

It's becoming increasingly common for the traffickers to use non-typical mules to get round the profiling of travellers. So more and more elderly couples, families with children etc are getting caught. After all if you were going to try to get £3m of drugs through you would hardly use a stereotypical drug runner to do it for you. And of course non of them ever know what they are doing. If she is as she says, innocent where is all the luggage for her and her kids or did she leave that all behind in favour of three massive suitcases for her friend?

Having some drugs planted in my case is my biggest fear, I always make sure I keep an eye on it right up to check-in.

I was once in an hotel in Jakarta and I dropped something on the bathroom floor. Glancing up under the sink (my interest in plumbing again) I spotted some kind of package, bound up in tape, wedged behind the U bend. I was so shoot scared that I asked the hotel to change me to a different room, straight away.

Slightly off topic, but where exactly is the factory?

I need a few new cases, and I'm working in Accrington on Monday, might pop round for a look afterwards

Coming from Accrington you need to take the Bury exit J2 off the M66. Head up Rochdale Road towards Bury then turn left at the first lights on Heywood Street. Go down there about 500 yards until you come to a mini roundabout, turn left on Wilson Street then at the bottom, right on Alfred Street. Over a bridge and the factory is on your left. I think they're open from 10:00 but you'd better check.

In a previous life (or so it seems) I was a nurse in a general hospital (I left after a bit, and the NHS relaxed and mopped its brow). One day, I was looking after a bloke (cockney fella) with hugely swollen nuts (can't remember why). He said words to the effect of "Gor blimey, I need someone to carry me bags". It probably wasn't that professional of me to burst into raucous laughter, but that's what I did ^_^

A friend's sister was caught and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment (in Peru, I think). She confessed but unfortunately her companion, who knew absolutely nothing about what was going on, was stuck out there for about 3 years as it took years for the case to be tried.

The whole thing was a sorry affair, she agreed to do it to wipe out the debt she had with a loan shark, tried to duck out at the last minute and then decided to go through with it when they implied her teenage daughter would be harmed.
