hi I’ve a Ultegra 11-23 10speed would like to swap for a 11-30 10 speed shimano fitment
Not sure if this post is in the right section

You should be fine, I think 28t is stated as Max but shimano always err on the safe side.
If you find you are having problems you can get a hanger which drops the derailleur a bit.
You'll need a new chain too.

On one of my bikes I moved from a 25t to a 30t. The 105 short cage mech was fine, you may need a longer chain though.

You can run a 12-30 on the short cage derraileur.
