Cat eye strands wireless not reading speed

Hi, I have a cat eye strada wireless that I got a couple of days ago. It gives me time (clock) Time that I’ve been riding, distance, and odometer but for some reason not avg, max, or current speed. The little arrow glass stays solid and the mph flashes but no reading. I have replaced both the computer and sensor batteries but no luck. Any suggestions?

If it's new take it back. I guess you have set the wheel size and all that?

Magnet not near enough the sensor I found it had to be nearly touching

I'd also suggest putting the sensor back to front like this...

Is it near a bright light? I had this model and it would not work on the same handlebars as my Moon 300 lumen light, it just stopped receiving.
