So sorry to hear about the accident but glad to hear he's on the mend. I have been on both ends my cat Felix had to be put to sleep after being run over but then 3 months later a cat ran out on me and it hit me wheel and ran off before I could even get out of the car to check it or find where it lived... I am still guilt-ridden to this day I even wrote to the newspaper but they never printed it so I don't know whether the cat survived or not, I like to think it did as I had seen the cat run across some grass before it carried on into the road so I'd started an emergency stop but was just coming to a stop as he made contact with the wheel trim I don't think it went under though as he has started to turn when it realised, if anything was run over it was the tail. I did try to follow it in the car but it ran down a pathway and was gone so quickly. Hoorah for the driver having the sense to seek his home immediately.
