The cat is back in the house now for a couple of weeks but it still refuses to enter the lounge but at least its not sitting outside in the bad weather , it does go into the kids bedrooms and also has a blanket at the top of the stairs where it like to sleep .
Its now 10 years since we picked it up as a baby from the rspca and its part of the family

Anyone here had to have x-rays done on cats?
One of our Maine Coons has developed ataxia , he has weakness on back legs and is really wobbly at times. So, had vet consultation with pain killers injection and blood work checked etc.
Next step would be x-ray, we've been quoted £732 for a set of x-rays. This involves sedation and a day stay but still a huge amount. No we don't have insurance.

Very friendly cat on our walk yesterday ,even liked having his tummy rubbed.

Can't see it on the pics but he has two large black markings over his eyes so we are calling him Graucho .

Went to the pet service in Ely Cathedral on Sunday. Madam Boo was one of only two cats there, and made the little highlights reel.

Bookshop cat near us. He's calmed down a bit now but as a kitten he'd attack everyones' legs.

His name is "Creams" and he lives in the excellent secondhand bookshop, Dreadnought Books in Bristol; coincidentally a few doors up from my local pub which has 11 resident cats

Quite. we've been said one of our ragdolls "may" have a heart murmur, one in three get's one, and we have three. He's our very active one. They possibly want to do a HR ultrasound, but we've not been back as it's not exactly treatable, as genetic, he's well, why put him through un-necessary stress. We are insured. We've didn't go back at the time as it had been so hot and we weren't popping him in the car or any other stress. Even stress in a carrier can cause a heart flutter, and he was in the same carrier as our stressy ragdoll. It can wait until his next checkup as he's fit and well, and he is 8 years old.

It's about £1k to get the scan done.... hmm that's why you said do we have insurance, print money for something that's not going to make a difference. We've had a cat before with a heart flutter.
