i watched it attack the dog..

If it's a big bugger then she should have had it done, TOMS are horrid - we've only had female cats. Ginger isn't an indicator.

Sorry but that's a blanket generalisation that simply isn't true. It's not just toms that may attack.

For example Skitty, my sister's neutered female, will attack dogs without provocation. Fat Cat, our old family cat, used to ambush dogs and other cats - she was a vicious madam.

But there are other blanket generalisations in the thread, far worse - I was trying to put in a balance, as some folk really hate cats.

It's a nasty occurrence that has happened and I hope the poor dog can be helped.

There is an un-neutered Tom that comes in our garden and attacks all 5 of ours, bloody nuisance it is.

It's a horrible decision and age and ability come into it. We've done this twice with two of our cats. It's the operation vs life after.

Well that was horrible..
she passed away peacefully..very happy to see her pain has ended..

had this picture given to us by my son and his wife a few years ago..its exactly how ill will remember her..
She had a good life...RIP little friend..

Just caught up with this thread.

So sorry to hear your news @meta lon. Losing any loved animal and friend is dreadful. I still find it hard 7 years later after losing my Cairn Terrier Max and the thought of losing my current two furballs is unthinkable.
