That was a good interview/ phone in, I hope its on i player later.
In the meantime I found this tv interview on the bbc. Some of the lines he uses in that he also uses on the radio interview :becool:

I don't watch morning TV but was it that black guys first ever interview. He was bloody shocking!! "why are you so good Cav" What kind of question is that and what answer did he expect. No wonder the other 2 took over as the producer was probably shouting in their ears. "take over and ask a decent question and get him to shut th f**k up"

Good wee interview though and I really like Cav. I always think he interviews really well despite someone else saying otherwise. Saying that though I don't think he has much time for Eurosport as his answers to them are very clipped and to the point whereas he chats away to Ned Bouling on ITV4

..... Respect.

I like the way he emphasises he's part of a team and even though he may cross the line first it's the team that help him do it.

So yes, respect indeed.

I'm not a huge cycling fan but I thoroughly enjoyed the interview.

In fact I was late for my job because I didn't want to miss any.

He came across as relatively humble, less arrogant than I imagined and quite approachable.

It was a decent interview by someone that obviously isn't a massive cycling fan.

He was interviewed on radio 4 this morning too. John Humphreys was amazed that he could finish the tour then go racing again 2 days later (so am I)
JH: 'how on earth can you do that?'
Cav: 'er.. it's my job'

I recorded the BBC breakfast interview yesterday and it made me cringe! The interviewers calling him Cav as though they were buddies, and the inane questions! Now, if I had 10 minutes alone with him...!

My thoughts as per my post exactly. The guy was a clown interviewing him
