CC charity shop touring challenge?

The idea would be to get from A to B spending as little money as possible and only taking one change of clothes but as many pairs of socks and pants as you like?

Very entertaining account, but not something I personally would want to experience!

Fair enough in the rich West, where it's a game, but not to be encouraged elsewhere.

Like Dervla Murphy with her lifetime of sponging off the poor of the Third World, then making a very good self-indulgent living by writing books for Guardianistas about "the instinctive generosity of native people".

At one time you could probably do the Charity Shop challenge without spending a penny via frugal living, touring the charity shops, and buying up all the collectables and flogging them off. Not sure it's possible now, they're much smarter about the value of some of the stuff they sell.
