I've noticed tonight that the road we would usually take to Kingseat up Townhill road is getting re laid so we will have a much flatter start to the ride tomorrow

I sincerely hope it's drier in the east than it is in the west today. I wouldn't put a dog out in that!

Good ride and nice to see everyone, even it was 'challenging' - wet, windy, and cold (although there was a brief glimpse of sun) and not helped by @ShooglyDougie being very unlucky and having a double puncture. Thanks to @Col5632 for organising.

Thanks to everyone for an "interesting" day out. Thanks to @Col5632 for organising, you need to organise some better weather for next time. Apart from the two punctures @ShooglyDougie then snapped his chain going over the Cleish so a ride to forget for him.

Thanks for making it out guys on what truly was an awful day, not a part of me was dry or warm, my legs are killing me and I'm shattered lol never even got a cafe stop today

Brave men. I had a ride mid afternoon and went from a pb on one road, to a worst ever time on the next as I changed direction into the wind. A day for the brave

The wind today just made things even more difficult, stopping to wait just made us all cold, and @DougieAB cycled to and from Kinross twice as he bought the wrong inner tubes first time round

I would just like to thank you guys for your patience and help, especially in the weather conditions.

Seems like a bit more preventitive maintenance is needed ...

Yeah, my bad on the chain, it's my much abused winter bike (third winter for it, it's been cleaned/lubed twice) and one too many clumsy changes.

The seven holes in my inner tubes I blame on the Muppet who left the road covers in thorns. Two spare tubes is a cheaper choice than "get a normal bike" suggested .
Thanks to @DougieAB getting new one I was able to avoid a long walk. I owe you a pint or six in the Lakes.
