The plan is: two girlies :girl: on ordinary bikes riding from Riverside Transport Museum to Dumbarton along cycle paths and canal and back. Return trains available from several points of the route, so no fear.
Easy peasy flat ride, chosen really because my friend asked me where Dumbarton was in relation to Loch Lomond.
Meeting time: 9 am.
Scheduled return to Glasgow: about 2pm, a couple of coffee/lunch breaks shall take place according to whim.
Should be about 40 miles round trip (50 for me )
Anyone welcome to join us!

I would have been up for this but one of my colleagues is off that day and I don't think I could get the time off... I'll keep an eye out though in case you do it again another week ;)

I am planning lots of midweek (when I'm usually off) rides in the next few months: wanna keep up with the boys on the pedal to parliament in May! :girl:

This one might not be such a good idea ...
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday

Rain, preceded by some significant snow, soon spreading east on Wednesday with strong southerly winds.

Good luck pat, lets hope the weather forecast is wrong :becool:
I know  :my pal just FB me.
We will set out if it's not actually snowing by 9 tomorrow. If it is snowing, I might go for a wee run myself, put the ice spikers to the test :becool:

Scoosh, since I have them on the bike It has never snowed here in Glesga city!

Dont ever take them tyres off the bike at least until May is out:laugh:

Sure am - it takes more than a bit of snow to knock me out...

Temperatures have been rising rapidly, and most of the snow is gone already.

Indeed, it was only a bit of snow up my way too.
Did not go with my friend, because she's not that experienced, this morning at 8 it was snowing quite heavily, we put the ride off.
But  at one o'clock I could see that, as Rasmus said, the snow was not here to stay.
So I set out to look for some, really wanting to put my ice spikers to the test!
Done 24 miles, will write about it in a wee while: bike is already cleaned, but I want my dinner now :hungry:
