Eldudino and I have been discussing a ride for this Sunday 14th and have decided that a jaunt out to Loch Leven's Larder might be rather pleasant. We're aiming to get there for 1pm for lunch.

So, anyone else fancy joining us?

I might be able to make it along to this, weather permitting of course.

If it's looking good, then i'll be along on the "beast" ......

 It certainly is now ;)

I'd love to just say "yes" :wahhey: ! Trouble is, I've got a rather important meeting next week, with quite a bit of :reading: to be done (for my own benefit, rather than to please others). So I'll say I'll treat a possible RV as an incentive to work really hard until Saturday evening ...:tired: and then see.
It would be great to see you lot again, it's been ages :hello: :bicycle:

Folks

- what is an RV ride?? Sounds like fun - where are you planning to ride from. A ride around the loch on the new path sounds nice and relaxing!!

Family and brownie points permitting

an RV or rendez-vous ride is where a time and a location/cafe stop is chosen and it's up to the individual to make their own way there.

What beast is this, Al? The bike you've been building?

This is my Touring/General Hack/Winter Trainer? bike. I built it from parts mostly sourced from ebay, and a few from LBS's. I finished it at the start of the summer, but never really used it, as I was mostly using the racing bike which is now laid up in the shed for the winter.

It's based around a 22" Carrera Subway Hybrid frame and forks, and it's called the "Beast" because it weighs in at 14.5kg!

I hope the weather is reasonable so you guys can see it

I am doing Dalgety Bay to Perth and back on Sunday so could well be at LLL at 13.00 hrs.

Anyone want a jaunt on Sunday am will be leaving from DB at about 9.30 going thru Kinross on the way up ... and then on the east side on the Loch on the way back.

It's a pretty flat route.

This is a possible route - not fixed it yet - probably do it as a 100k DIY audax
