I think lack of food was my problem today, hopefully one day find the balance between eating enough and keeping a good pace

Hi all. Don't think I'm going to manage along to this ride. Am presently up north with the family on holiday and don't expect to be back home until late on Friday evening or mid Saturday morning. Will hopefully make the next one though.

Have fun.

Yes I know, but had my leg drained when I burst the bursa, twice, so kind of feared in the wet, unless, I take my MTB and am slow ~ not scared of getting wet, just not liking road bike in the rain :-)

Come on, Jane, I'll be on my trusty hybrid "tank" ... :hugs:
The fast boys can do their own thing at the front of the ride, if they want to ... I don't like going fast downhill in any weather :surrender:

T (still a maybe, but not because of the weather)
I don't like downhill either!!!

Guys, I need some logistic help here.
Us from Glasgow will have a van for the bikes. they are now 9 bikes from Glasgow, plus @Gee_Dee Plus @Harry_Palmer79
I am meeting with the van driver tomorrow to finalize details.
I can see it's a short walk from the station to the meeting point, but the parking space is a bit further away.
There are also 4 coming by car with their bike - I told them to park at the North Inch community centre.
What I need to know is: shall I tell the driver to meet us at the community centre, (how far on foot is it?) so we can collect our bikes or shall I tell him to unload at the meeting point?
Cheers!

Edit: a picture of the statue would be great, is it the thistle one?
Edit again: can one not park at the train station?

Pat, IMO it's too far to walk from the station to the Community Centre and getting parked near the statue may be a problem as it's by a busy road, however it's possible he could wait on Atholl Place. I would give some thought to getting the bikes delivered directly at the station, then parking up at the Community Centre for the duration. I'm not sure if there's a waiting area at the station though, Techmech may be able to advise?
