I´m tempted to grow it back (well, some of it; where it still grows!).

It´d only take about 9-12 months!

These things work when there's a theme. It could be pictures of bikes, or pictures of bits of bikes,

Love the second picture..but the first.... a C50 with Dura Ace....nooo... even if I am a die hard Shimano user, I can see why you have done it...Dura Ace is the best...

Photo's like Dell's second one - fantastic...very atmospheric..all those lot struggling up a climb..ace...

Some good ideas... I can do shiney bike bits ......

I thought a range of subjects - like the Photo Challenge thread has thrown up. Some arty, some 'journalistic/reportage', some sporty, some just plain nice. We could even try and make them slightly seasonal in terms of weather or stuff like that. I think we have some very good photographers on here, and sometimes you just get very lucky with a snap, if the composition is right. Entrants could 'donate' the image, and they could sell with a small mark up for CC.
My thought is that, in the middle of winter, I don't particularly like to look at pictures of ice, cold, snow etc. For that, I can look out of the window. In winter, I would rather be looking at pictures of warmth, sunshine, bright colours etc. (which is why I love my friends in the Southern hemisphere who send me a calendar ) The opposite is also true, as I can (just about ) handle cold-looking pics when it's warm outside .

I also think dellzegg's second pic is brilliant

To be serious for a moment...

I did raise the idea of a calendar recently among the mods - my thought was not the WI type (although I'd be up for it, I think it would be very hard to organise), but one with really good pics taken by forummers - we could have a competition, or a judging panel.

Picturing people all wrong is part of the fun! Hence the famous "Arch is a girl?" moments...
