Me too Phil - must have been a good knock if you can't remember the details. Glad you've still got all your bits and bobs, and hope you mend soon.

Whilst you're laid-up recovering for a couple of weeks, keep the phone close by and chase your insurers so your new bike is there and ready for when you're mended and ready to roll again!

Get well soon,
Shaun

We'll expect your post count to go up at a rate of knots now that you're back at home doing nought all day!

Glad you're ok.

I gather one of my own students was the first to come upon the scene, and called in the emergency folk (she'll get full marks!).

Been off the forum a few days, so a bit slow, but wishing you a speedy recovery UunclePhil

Sounds like you'll have plenty of time to organise another excellent York ride ;)

A friend of mine drunkenly walked out in front of a car and was nearly killed(his own fault obviously), the car in question was being driven by a doctor.

When I told him that was only second best to being knocked down by an ambulance, he hit me.;)

When I had my big off last year, I managed to do it in front of a nurse and an occupational therapist. Thankfully, I was still alive to appreciate this!

Thought you might like to see pictures of the bike. If you are squeamish about seeing a mortally wounded classic Moulton, look away now...

It's been locked up in a police compound until yesterday, so I'm only now able to launch the insurance claim. Of course, they're not making AMs any more, so I may not be able to get a direct replacement under the insurance. But if anyone is selling a Moulton AM7 or AM14 whose frame is in reasonable condition, let me know! (I think many of the parts are salvagable).
