Not fair

We're getting a yellow lab pup later in the year and although he'll technically be youngest's dog, I know who will be doing the early, late and wet weather walks

I really can't wait as this is our first family venture in to pet ownership.

I make no apologies for the thread resurrection, but I've just realised an error in my 2012 post.... The colour was way off, but the early, late and wet weather predictions were correct.

He'll be three in October and is my best mate....

Here's Lemmy. He's just turned 2 years old. He's a Field Labrador, 5 generations pedigree with 5 generations of field trials champions in his lineage.

In a sense its a waste of an expensive and finely bred dog, but those attributes make him an intelligent and loving pet and a wonderful protector for my 4 year old daughter whom he adores.

Reminds me of when I took mine with me mtn biking in Delamere. After one particular section I looked back to see he had a brown strip from nose to forehead.

He knows once he's in it, he'll be having a good tow around and then a run around the local woods. Then of course, the idiot tows him back home

I lost Woody in May aged 13 years and 9 months a cracker.

Boushti the cat.

We were living in this flat in the town centre. Below us lived a vet. One day she locked herself out, couldn't get hold of the landlord so she stayed the night- along with a rescued cat.

Three days later the cat was still with us, and he'd been (re)named. I finally got the message.

I don't know how old he is, we've had him six years.

Update: still got this one. We moved a while back and have a ground floor flat so he can come and go a bit easier (none of that disappearing out of the window to prowl the rooftops anymore). Don't have to hide him from the landlord any more either (although I saw him in Sainsbury's yesterday and instinctively ducked around the other side of the bread aisle so he wouldn't see the cat food in my basket)
