Look, they just live in the past, why not use a 4x4 or something to pull the log to where they want it


I do have good respect for them though, i often watch Britain's Strongest Men, its amazing what they can lift.

Indeed, we found the big castle on the hill (pictured top right on the map!) by heading up any road that looked as if it was going uphill. You can probably guess that it wasn't signposted...

I enjoyed reading that - thanks for posting. Pictures of the gorges were excellent, brought back some good memories.
