It's only affected 2.27 million people, so...<shrug>

They don't think anything bad happened, but don't take it from me - vent your rage on them, please.

This aside, I use it because its the one that police e-crime investigators struggle with the most. I wasn't likely to use the one they could crack easiest, and easily retrieve deleted files.

Not dynamite. It has a phial of sulphuric acid over the hard drive drive connected to a mercury switch. If the computer is moved a 50kg C4 charge gently breaks the glass and pours the contents delicately over the hard drive.

Windows Defender also picked up malware in Ccleaner on my laptop.I have read it only affected the 32bit version,but i have the 64bit version,so why has Windows Defender found (and quarantined) malware on my 64bit version?

I've always held Ccleaner in the same regard as I do other programs that claim to speed up your PC by deleting or optimising your registry.

Snake oil.
