CDF Adventure bike 2017

Isn't the CdF the cheaper version of the Croix de Fer? (Heavier tubing??).
If I'm right there then a lower level and arguably better value (does the same job, may be a bit clunky, but for less money) groupset may be the right thing to get the right price to sell the bike.

If I'm wrong, which I often am, then this is just yet more pointless wibbling.

i acquired a 2014 model CDF a few weeks ago , its a very nice bike with a Reynolds 520 frameset . Would like to try the other end of the range but this does me fine

I think sora is the new tiagra. The first rung carbon domane and roubaix (2016 models) came with sora and hy-rd cable brakes.

hard to beat chainreaction it's where i buy all my gear .
i have the 11 speed 105 on my roadbike it's every bit as good as ultegra and better than the old 9 speed dura ace ,they make good gear shimano for sure.

More than a dozen mostly useful posts, and there is nary a "that's useful", "I'm glad you could share your experience" or "thanks, I have a condition that prevents me from using google" from you, but if someone dares veer a millimetre off topic, you are all over that.

This had of course devolved into a discussion about the groupset. If you want to keep a thread on your topic, contribute!

Jags said that ChainReaction was hard to beat and he gets a lot of his gear from there. I was just pointing out that Chain Reaction do not sell Genesis bikes. I did look. I was not having a pop.

Stevein did you buy that genisis bike looks to be top quality.
im building up my new Thorn Audax with Tiagra only gripe i have with it its a tad heavy well im kinda compairing it to my carbon road bike which isn't really fair,
i wont have it built up for a few months yet stone broke still worth the wait i reckon.

Not yet Jags. I will probably wait until January and see if I can find a cheaper one somewhere. The olive green ones seem to sell out quickly.
