I'm loving the retro Mega-Range cassette. What size is the largest cog? I tried to find one a while back, but they seem to be pretty rare in 5 speed nowadays.

I've taken a few photos for you.

I am restoring an old Raleigh Wisp which has a Weinmann 730 rear brake. In the past I had a lot of trouble trying to centre these kind of brakes. The 730 has the same inverted hex bolt as the 605. I read there is a tool for the inverted hex nut, but couldn't find one, anyway with old bikes like this is not cost effective to buy a specialist tool. I had an idea .. and it worked. The inverted nut is 4mm, and a standard allen 4mm bolt fits perfectly. Lock two nuts together on the thread of the bolt, and insert the hex head - see pics. The black plastic brake cover can be pulled off, it serves no purpose except protection and appearance. The hex bold inserts even with black cover in place. Slack the main bolt off, and tighten it while securing the allen on the other side. Without this counter pressure the brake assembly usually twists off centre as you do the final tightening.
Earlier this year I restored a Carlton and upgraded the Weinmann with Tektro R359s (long reach) . .the Carlton is a much better bike and worth spending money to improve. These long reach Tektros come in two versions, need to get the kind with old style bolts rather than new style inserts.
I love these old Raleighs ( I also like contemporary Giants, bought a 2014 Giant Defy 2 Composite last month year ).
