Chain compatability

Ok, so you can buy SRAM chain that'll fit Campag and Shimano.

Probably obvious, but can you fit a Shimano chain on Campag..and vice versa ?

The unknown bugs me..my brain asks me too many questions...

I think the answer is yes and no. There are many different chains these days with 8, 9, 10 and now even 11 gears which are all different. A knowledgeable LBS should be able to advise but if you are more specific in the chain you want to change, some of the more knowledgable members of this forum could also give you an answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
