Hi Guys,

On my bike I have a 48 tooth chainring with a 17 tooth fixed cog and a 17 tooth freewheel on a flip flop hub. Does anyone know if it is possible to run a 17 tooth fixed with a 19 tooth feewheel or would that cause issues with the chain length when i flipped the wheel? Currently i need to pull the wheel back about an inch and a half in the track ends to get the tension about right.

I have done a few hilly rides recently and the ability to get a bit of extra leverage when feeling a bit tired would be good!

For every increase of 2T either front or back the rear axle should end up moving forward by a quarter of an inch. You have plenty of leeway.
